Outer ear infection treatment
I have an outer ear infection. Can you help?

Outer ear infections can be painful and unpleasant. This service offers a combination treatment that can quickly relieve symptoms.
This is a private/paid service from your Pharmacist for antibiotic/steroid spray to treat otitis externa (inflammation of the outer ear canal) likely to be due to infection.
Included, your pharmacist will examine you to check if you are eligible or require this treatment. If your pharmacist suspects you have a very severe or recurrent infection, they may refer you to a doctor instead.
Many people with otitis externa will need ear drops or sprays containing antibiotics and/or steroids to reduce inflammation.
Your Pharmacist will advise you on how to use the spray and how long you should use it for.
The price you will be quoted is for your consultation and one bottle of spray which provides a course of up to 14 days. The actual price you are charged may be higher if you and your Pharmacist agree that a slightly different treatment is most appropriate following consultation.
